Animals around the world are being taken out of their natural habitats, being breaded and fed antibiotics. Our world today is becoming less and less conscious of the pain and suffering being inflicted on animals. As the outcome, animals are becoming even further tarred in society. Humans have and are continuing to handle animals as if they are some kind of material goods. This is considered as being immoral, as animals have their own lives, and they think, have feelings, can feel pain, require love, happiness, and everything else that humans have. Many people do not understand animal rights and how we should treat them equally and why. So what are animal rights?

Animal rights is the idea that animals have the same rights as humans, to live free of suffrage, just as important as living individuals, and with the same moral status as humans.

PETA, an animal rights organization, constantly receives national attention and a certain shock value using powerful and distinct images to expose their messages of animal suffering. Many of their campaigns have attempted to use powerful visuals with the use of celebrities to address the issue of animal cruelty and to persuade people to convert to an animal friendly lifestyle.

The Yulin Dog Meat Festival, happens every year on the summer 21 of June. This festival where some 10,000 dogs are slaughtered and served up as meals, is often wrongly assumed to be an ancient Chinese tradition. Once they arrive at the “festival”, thousands of dogs are beaten, killed, and eventually eaten by people who believe eating dog meat on this day will bring good luck. So dogs in China still face agonizing deaths for the dog meat trade and StopYulinForever Organization will not rest until the slaughter ends.

Please, help them continue the fight against dog meat and sign the petition that will save some lives!
